In his first collaboration with French perfumer Benoit Lapouza, Angel’s Share EDP becomes Kilian Hennessy’s most personal creation to date — a fragrance rooted in his eighth‑generation inheritance of Hennessy’s cognac‑making savoir‑faire.
The scent journeys deep into the cellars of memory and imagination, touching the most enigmatic element of cognac aging: la part des anges, or “the angels’ share” — the portion of liquor that evaporates from oak barrels like a silent offering to the heavens.
The Perfume
Just as a Master Perfumer blends accords with precision, a Master Blender harmonizes eaux‑de‑vie to craft an exceptional cognac. Angel’s Share contains an essence of cognac derived directly from the liquor, giving the perfume its natural caramel hue.
It opens with a rich cognac accord, followed by a warm blend of oak absolute, cinnamon essence, and tonka bean absolute. The long‑lasting base of sandalwood, praline, and vanilla creates a decadent, lingering finish — a rare indulgence worthy of angels themselves.
